Deodorant

Deodorant - When we speak of body odour what naturally springs to mind “deodorant”. Some people believe that deodorant is the cure to rid body odour, when in fact this is not true, deodorant does not rid body smells – in a sort of way it helps disguise any offending body pong. Not many people are aware but there is a difference between deodorant and antiperspirant. The two serve different purposes. Deodorants are agents that mask odours caused by perspiration. When the role of antiperspirants is to stop the body from producing sweat by clogging the sweat ducts using powerful astringents

Because of this it is only you that will know what product is going to work in assisting you in preventing any body odour or stemming any major outbursts of sweating. If sweating is not the problem, but odour is, then it is suggested to use deodorant. Deodorants do not stop sweating. Deodorant works with sweat to produce a more pleasant odour instead of an unpleasant one.

Content of deodorant neutralize odours by interacting with perspiration by releasing antiseptic agents to control the bacterial level of sweat, which causes the odour. As said before this is down to personal choice as to what you use to control the condition. Some people prefer deodorant to antiperspirants because it allows the body to continue to sweat, the body’s natural cooling process,

We are all familiar with products as such and even more so with how they smell nice, however you can purchase unscented deodorants

People who sweat profusely are more drawn to using antiperspirants because it completely blocks the body’s sweat ducts by using its active ingredient, an aluminium compound, to clog or close the sweat ducts preventing the sweat glands from being drained. This causes the sweating process to be temporarily cut off. Once again there are many different antiperspirant products available - so choosing the right one can differ for your needs. While antiperspirants stop the body from producing sweat it is not known to be harmful in any way to the person rolling or spraying it on. Since the body has sweat ducts all over, the sweat will simply find another outlet. However long term use - can cause problems so check this out with your doctor? Some body odours can be caused by other factors aside from smells from sweating. If an infection is present this can be the cause for some offending body smells occurring.

No matter the condition or ailment you must never use another persons medication - or go off their advice as this can be very dangerous indeed. The only person you should listen too or take advice from is either your doctor or another expert in the field of medical matters. This is the most vital of safety precautions a person suffering from an illness can take to ensure that they are recieving the right treatment to treat a particular cause.
